• Medicaid Redetermination will result in states redetermining their Medicaid requirements and benefits, which could result in anywhere between 5-14 million beneficiaries under 65 losing their Medicaid status nationwide.
• This disenrollment is set to be the single largest health coverage transition event since the first open enrollment period of the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
• According to a Kaiser Family Foundation and Georgetown University 50-State survey, many state agencies expressed concerns about the capacity and staffing needed to successfully complete eligibility renewals at the end of the PHE.
